Hey hey! Is it the famous Ashley Turpin?!

Wow, it has been a long time! I'm doing well, how about you? I finished school for good! Hooray! Graduated and done forever! hahaha Well, ya never, I could change my job and go back someday, but I'm living and working as an accountant/financial analyst in Georgia (it's about an 8 hr drive away from Mississippi, in case you aren't up to date on your American geography! hahahaha j/k)And I live in the Eastern time zone now too! hahaha So when it's 11 in Georgia it's 11 in Quebec! hahaha

How are things with you? Is college going well? I know you're making straight A's in all your Art classes!! As I can tell from all your pics, your art is still amazing, but God has blessed you with a gifted touch with pictures, colors, shades, and expressions. I know you're not really religious, but you have a God given talent. hehe

I haven't been on DA in a while, because I've been busy with work and what not, but I still try to find time to scope out some nice art once in a while. The town I live in now has 500,000 people, so it's a bit of a step up from my hometown, but it's been okay so far.

Being so far from home and old friends is kind of sad sometimes, and I miss my dogs a lot too, but I wanted to try to start my career off with a bang, so we'll see how it turns out.

My fav game these days has been Tales of Symphonia 2: Dawn of the New World (it has a great couple between a boy named Emil and a girl named Marta. I'm worried it won't end well, but it's been a good game so far. I'm not optimistic that the two will end up together though, but I am a bit of a pessimist.

Of course I'm looking forward to Sonic Unleashed, but I am skeptical about it as well, since Sonic is cursed these days as you know. hehe

Well, I hope things are well with you, and I hope to hear from you soon! I'll have to get on MSN one night so we can chat for a while and catch up! How are Tamara, Sabrina, your brothers, etc.? I hope things are happy with all of you guys! Especially since the holidays are coming up soon! Hooray christmas!! hehehe

Have a good week and talk to you later!

Heyy Caleb :P

So, ur in Georgia now? And you said that's going well for you? Well, that's rlly good to hear, glad ur enjoying it. As you said though, ur missing ur family and friends, but you know they'll always be there for you, and maybe u'll meet new people in ur new job. And ur enjoying ur new career too? Do you get to wear a snazzy suit?? :P Haha

Schools been good for me too, not getting straight A's though, it's harder than I thought it would be, but I am enjoying it none the less. I only have two computer classes, and neither one uses photoshop yet :P We use InDesign and Illustrator, but both are pretty cool. I also have two other drawing classes, one with charcoal, pencil, etc, and one with paint. For the charcoal and pencil one, I had to draw a model last week :P (no, she wasnt nude, but next week i have to draw a nude male, hahaha it's gonna be weird :P)

So any girls in ur life atm? Have ur eye on anyone? ;) If not that's fine too, there should be someone soon, especially if ur wearing a snazzy suit P

Im excited for Sonic Unleashed to come out too, theres been some really good ratings on it, so im glad to hear it. Did you play Sonic Chronicles yet? I bought it and its pretty good, im at the last boss, but my health is pretty low, so i know im gonna die unless i heal myself :P Cant wait to buy Animal Crossing for the Wii :D its multiplayer now, so that'll be fun, and now i can go online :)

Tamara, Sabrina and my brothers are all doing great. Tam and Quinn broke up awhile ago though, and she's dating someone new. Other than that, everythings the same. But yeah, How are ur parents and sisters doing? And ur friends? I know ur not in the area where they live anymore, but I know you stay in contact with them :P

Anyways, Im not usually on the computer much, so it may be awhile until I write back to you :P It's been good talking to you,

Take care, Have a good week too.

Ashley,

You are always one for funny comments. I don't have to wear a suit everyday, just when we're having a meeting with clients or something, but that's not very often. I don't do much talking at the 'important meetings'. I'm just eye candy. hahaha j/k And I do not look 'snazzy' in a suit. It always feels too formal.

Our normal work clothes are khakis and a polo or dress shirt, nothing too fancy. I don't like actual ';polos' by Ralph Lauren (that guy riding the horse playing polo just looks dumb to me, but I have always been picky when it comes to fashion, food, etc. I have a couple of black polo type shirts (made by this Izod brand; their logo isn't great either haha, a dark orange and bright orange one, a yellow one, and some others with sideways stripes on them, and even an ugly brown button up shirt I wear once in awhile. When I do 'dress up' it's usually this awful light pink shirt with a pink and blue tie and suit pants. hahahahah just kidding! I would have to be paid to wear pink. I usually wear my charcoal-ish colored gray suit with a white shirt and yellow tie. Clothes...ugh. haha

I live in the town of Augusta, these days (I think I forgot to mention that last night). It's right on the border with South Carolina. It's really pretty (lots of birds and a nice nature reserve that has alligators, cranes and tons of other birds, turtles, and even bobcats (though I haven't seen any of those yet), and the weather is about the same as Mississippi, maybe a few degrees cooler, but not much different. (Still no snow sadly! haha sucks for me!) There's tons of shopping, and everything is really close to my apartment, which has been nice so far, but there's been some noisy neighbors that have moved in recently, but overall, I shouldn't complain.

About Sonic Chronicles, it was a pretty good game. I didn't find it to be that tough, but I guess it was because I got a message at the end that Eggman took over while I was gone fighting the aliens and saving the galaxy, but I don't know what I need to do to be able to fight him. I thought the game deserved a higher score than it got at IGN.com, etc. A 6.5 (I think that's what it got, was too low). I agree the difficulty was a little easy, but the battle system was fun and unique, especially for an RPG, and the story was a fresh loaf of bread in the unbelievably stale Sonic story universe. Still, it's no Super Paper Mario (great RPG! hehehehe)

And Animal Crossing? Puh-leez! Boring! I'm just kidding. My cousin has that game, and she enjoys it a lot. I tried playing the DS one I borrowed from her on a trip once, but I wasn't very good at it. It seems like a fun idea though, building up the town, etc.

My sisters and everyone are doing well. Emily is a junior in college now, Molly is in 11th grade (still one more year to go in our weird little American system! hehehe) They're coming to visit this weekend before Thanksgiving next Thursday.

As you know, I am unable to draw anything, but I couldn't stop giggling if I had to draw a nude model. I would be able to keep it together. I'm it was a guy, I'd just throw up. If it was a girl, I probably couldn't stop giggling. Especially if they were doing so serious pose. But then again, we Americans are used to having that kind of stuff totally censored all the time! haha

Speaking of government, were you Canadians glad Obama is now president? I didn't vote for him or McCain. I voted for Huckabee (a Republican that dropped out of the race awhile back, but he was my fav candidate) I can't stand Obama or McCain. McCain is too old and out of touch, and Obama is pro-abortion so I could never vote for him. I liked Palin, but I don't think they let her get her message out enough. I like the fact that Obama is new, but I don't like his policies because he wants the government to pay for everyone's medical care, etc., and I don't think all the working people should have to pay for all the people that don't work like it is in France, and much of Europe, but that's just me. I will miss President Bush. He's soooo coool!

As for girls in my life, I'm married actually and have one boy (Riker) and one girl on the way (possibly to be named Renata, but we're still debating it. A long-time friend of mine suddenly asked me out over the summer, and she moved to Georgia with me, and we aloped, and.........have figured out I'm kidding yet? mwahahahahaha! I'm so evil, or crazy, aren't I? hahahaha I scared the....what's the right word...stuffing (can't be a curse word hehehe) out of my mom one week when I called her and told her I got married! hahahaha I have a twisted sense of humor perhaps?

Actually, I haven't had my eye on anyone lately. I just haven't felt that 'feeling' to go ask anyone out lately. I went on a 'goodbye date' with a friend the last week of school before we graduated, but it was really just a friendship goodbye kind of thing (I did get a kiss out of it though! hehe 1st one of those I'd gotten in about 6 months, so that was nice. hahaha probably too much info I am giving you.) I did try to ask this Amber girl out that works at the bookstore near here in Sept., but it turns out she's 25! hahaha She gave me a polite no. I asked her out and she was like, "How old are you?" (she did say it nicely though. hehe). That's one bad thing at my job too, besides me, there's literally nobody under the age of 30 there, so it's kind awkward, but oh well. That's life.

But overall, I can't complain about life at all these days. I have a good paying job, my family and friends (new and old) love me, going to a good church, I have a place to live and a warm bed to sleep in. I just need to find a place that has a yard so I can get a dog (or bring mine from Mississippi hehe).

I am skeptical about the werewolf/werehog thing in Sonic Unleashed, but hopefully it will be okay. There running/side-scrolling parts look great though.

Well, have a great weekend and talk to you later! It's good to hear from you!

Caleb
